ORNAmuseMENT: Music
Oxygen
(Ornamusement)
She walks light across his back
The only way he can relax
Crossing time with every crack
Eyes closed he can face the facts
It's like he lives on a mountain
Where the air is very thin
Clouds roll in pale as her skin
These visions are his oxygen
In the mirror they grow nearer
He can breathe her in
It is his oxygen
Deep in heady cups of red
And ever-ready to reflect
A mixture to conjure the undead
And her whispering lips so perfect
It's like the world can darken
And leave you turned within
Back where it began
Flames fanned by oxygen
Moonlit starry latenight skies
Her fingers forgive all his lies
And then she's gone again
As is his oxygen
Somehow now it's been so long
But time don't make right a wrong
He thinks of the life
They could be living
If then he'd had no fear of giving
But he's facing
His coldest winter in years
And wondering why
The air would take this form
It'll be a while
Before it's crystal and it clears
For now he'll watch
The fireflies in the snowstorm
And wonder where'd she go
Where's she been
Is she outside and will she come in
Just so he can breathe again
It is his oxygen
